  1. Visa Information

1.1.           Visa Exemption

Vietnam allows nationals of 23 countries to enter Vietnam without a visa for varying time periods. These countries include the ASEAN countries, Russia, P.R. China, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, France and Belarus may not need a visa for a short visit (15 days). If citizens of these countries want to stay in Vietnam more than 15 days, they need to apply for Vietnamese visas. The details on the visa exemption can be found here.

If you need more information about Vietnamese visas, please inquire at the nearest Vietnam embassy/consulate in your country.

1.2.           Visa on Arrival

It is possible to get a “visa on arrival”, that is a visa to be picked up at the airport upon arrival at one of Vietnam international airports (Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh, Cam Ranh Airport in Nha Trang City, Da Nang Airport in Da Nang City or Noi Bai Airport in Ha Noi).

Please notice that a Vietnamese visa is required in case you enter Vietnam from the third country. Even you live with a long-term visa in the country above.

1.3.           Online Service (Unverified)

Some people have been successful with using online services such as My Vietnam Visa, to obtain a Vietnamese tourist visa.

1.4.           Visa letter

  1. Corona Virus (Covid-19) Pandemic situation
    • Border closing situations

The Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam has decided to partly lift the travel ban, which enable experts, specialists, businessmen and foreign officials from certain countries to enter to Vietnam since September 15th. The certain individual will have to get a negative PCR Covid-19 testing result maximum three (03) days before the date of travel. The substance then will have to take two (02) other PCR tests in Vietnam and have to carry out self-quarantine process within five (05) days at his/her own accommodation. The outstanding costs for PCR tests and quarantine period will be paid by the substance hisself/herself. In the case of positive result, the substance will be treated at local hospitality and will have to pay for all incurring fees. Approximate costs for PCR tests in Vietnam will be around US$ 150 and average accommodations in Vietnam will cost about US$ 100 per night.

  • Acts of god

In the scenario that the main event could not held on-site due to Covid-19 pandemic, alternative options will be announced at least one month in advance of the main event’s first date.
