INTRO

Van Lang-HeriTech was born in 2020 from an idea of the VLU-INCHES, Institute of Cultural Heritage and Development Studies of Van Lang University and the Department of Architecture.

The idea is to create a synergy between Cultural Heritage and Greener Technologies in the World of Business and the Academe.

On its 2nd Van Lang International Conference on Heritage and Technology, 2022, themed on “SUSTAINABILITY AND GREEN ENGINEERING DURING AND POST COVID-19 PANDEMIC” derives to the current situation of the world.

The blast of covid-19 infections in Wuhan, China, shook the entire World as it was not ready to face the most unexpected disaster. The flagship publication of UNDP that “Leaving No One Behind: Impact of Covid-19 on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”, stated that the social and economic impacts of Covid-19 are set to widen the gap between people living in rich and poor countries, countries on the lower end of human development.

Now, many people are asking about the future development of cultural heritage and heritage. To address these gaps of knowledge, our 2nd International Conference is focusing on the UN 2030 Agenda, the opportunity to “build back better” by looking towards the future of cultural heritage in dynamic change brought about covid-19 towards sustainable development.

The Conference is an international event that gives significant opportunities to bring together prestigious institutions and industries to be one, holding hand in hand to find a solution to the issue with Academic scholars and the University’s expertise.

The University aims to be the international heart of Art and Restoration to Material Science, Sustainable Architecture for Cultural Heritage, Digital Heritage, Environmental Engineering and Management, and Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Communication Technology as well as a forum for meeting and discussion with the experts, industry operators and enthusiasts around the world. The Conference will be a significant opportunity to exchange ideas between researchers and companies to promote productive excellence and technological evolution to the greater use of culture for younger sections of the population and specialization in graduates and Ph.D. students’ educational field.

The objectives of this Conference are as follows; to foster Vietnam mobility and cooperation between students and staff; to enhance the nation’s development as a multi-cultural society and to encourage the concept that scientific-cultural research must be an integral part of the community; to promote international networks between universities, training institutes, and companies and to create long-term collaboration opportunities; also it will create favorable conditions for young graduates to enter the world of work; then to demonstrate the influence of new technologies in the arts and how they can be used it for innovative teaching and learning; and lastly, to establish contacts and cooperation between Institutions in the Academic world and the world of work.
